Mayor Bloomberg is a forceful advocate of gun contol. In NYC it is almost impossible to legally own a handgun and almost as difficult to own a long arm. The mayor feels that the residents of his city are adequately protected by the local police.
It appears the residents have a difference of opinion with him on this issue right now.
